When choosing a house plan one of the most important things to consider is the placement of the bedrooms. If you’re building a home on a busy street, you’ll want to make sure that the bedrooms are located at the back of the house!

The amount of time that you spend in your bedroom doing things other than sleeping is also an important factor. If it’s your place to get away, then you’ll want to make sure there’s room for a desk or even a small comfy chair when considering the size of your room.

You should also consider the children you have or plan to have. While it may be fine for a teenagers room to be on the opposite side of the home, you will probably want a nursery or small childs room to be near yours.

The addition of a master bath could be considered just a luxury. But, if you have several people living in one home, one bathroom can prove to be quite a problem. The usual rule is one bathroom for every two bedrooms that your home has!
